# Regime Strip

One line with the price, the gamma regime and how far each key level sits from price.

The **Regime Strip** is a single line across the top of the workspace: price,
the gamma regime, and every key level with its distance from price. It is the
fastest read of where the session stands.

## What it shows

| Cell | What it is |
|---|---|
| **Price** | The latest price (says **replay** during Replay) |
| **Regime** | **Long gamma** or **Short gamma**, with net GEX underneath |
| **Wider ▲▼** | Shown in red when price is below the gamma flip: swings tend to run wider than the expected move |
| **Gamma Flip, Call Wall, Put Wall** | Each level with its distance from price, in points and percent |
| **Exp. Move ±1σ** | The expected-move band for the rest of the day |
| **1D Range** | The projected day range |
| **Day Call / Put Wall, Vol Trigger, Max Pain** | The other key levels |

The cell nearest to price is underlined. Hover any level to mark it on every
chart in the workspace.

## Practical application

![Regime Strip, NQ, Oct 16, 2026 at 12:00 PM ET (Replay)](https://q-bitf.com/docs-img/regime-strip-oct16.png "Real data: NQ, Oct 16, 2026, 12:00 PM ET, in Replay. Short gamma, net GEX −7.8B, price 29,659 below the flip, the put wall and the 1D range.")

**Reading it, left to right.** At noon on Oct 16 NQ trades at 29,659. The
regime reads **Short gamma** with net GEX of **−7.8B** and the red **Wider**
flag. Every level is above price: the gamma flip by 277 points (0.93%), the
put wall at 29,708.60 by about 50 points, and the bottom of the 1D range
(29,848.89) by 190. Price is also near the lower edge of the expected move
(29,506.93).

**What it meant.** Price had broken the put wall and fallen out of the
projected day range in short gamma. The session kept falling and closed near
29,400: see the [Candles guide](https://q-bitf.com/docs/widgets/candles).

**How to use it.**

- **Short gamma + Wider:** size stops for a bigger range than the expected move
suggests, and do not fade a move just because a band was crossed.
- **Broken levels above price** (the put wall, the 1D min) often act as
  resistance on a bounce.
- The trend is in question only if price gets back above the gamma flip.
