Moderator Terms
Effective date: November 5, 2026
These terms apply to anyone given moderation permissions in a q-bitf Discord, forum, Academy space, or other community. The Terms of Service also apply.
Role and conduct
Moderators help apply published community rules within the permissions q-bitf assigns. Act fairly, respectfully, and consistently; document important actions; escalate safety, payment, legal, or account-security issues to q-bitf; and never use moderation tools for personal disputes, retaliation, promotion, or access to information without a moderation need.
Boundaries
Moderators may not speak for q-bitf, promise outcomes, provide financial advice as q-bitf, disclose non-public information, or ask users for passwords, API keys, full payment details, or unnecessary personal data. Disclose conflicts of interest and do not moderate a matter where impartiality is reasonably in doubt.
Security and confidentiality
Protect the account used for moderation with strong authentication. Keep reports, internal discussions, user information, and unreleased product information confidential, including after the role ends, except where law or an authorised q-bitf contact requires disclosure.
Relationship and removal
Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, the role is voluntary, creates no employment, agency, partnership, compensation, or authority to bind q-bitf, and may be changed or removed at any time. Return or delete moderator materials and stop using permissions when the role ends.
