Tape Profile
Where today's options trading landed, strike by strike, as gamma, delta, vanna or charm flow, or as call and put volume.
Tape Profile answers a different question from the open-interest widgets: not where positions sit, but where today's trading happened. Each bar is one strike's share of the session's options activity, expressed as gamma flow by default. Green bars add long dealer gamma, red bars add short.
What it shows#
| Element | What it is |
|---|---|
| Bars | Today's flow at each strike, for the chosen greek |
| GAMMA flow (header) | The net of all bars |
| Top + / Top − (Details) | The strikes with the largest flow on each side |
In Details, bars switches between Classified (flow for the chosen greek: delta, gamma, vanna or charm) and Volume / Ladder (call and put contracts traded). The expiry scope is ≤90DTE, 0DTE or 1DTE.
Marked (Beta) in the widget picker: it is newer, and some of the options data behind it can lag the live market by several minutes.
Practical application#

Reading it. Today's net gamma flow is +784M. Most of it sits in a block of green bars from about 26,950 to 27,300, and the single largest is 27,250 at +126M: traders were active in the call wall strike all day. Below price there is one red cluster around 26,900, with -97M at that strike alone.
What it means. Two strikes drew the day's attention: 27,250 above, where the open-interest book already has its call wall, and 26,900 below, where put trading concentrated at a level that had little open interest before. Today's trading added to the ceiling and may be building a new level below.
How to use it.
- Today's biggest strike matching the call or put wall: the wall is being defended or added to; expect it to matter again.
- A new cluster where open interest is thin: a level is forming. Mark it, and check Open Interest tomorrow to see if the positions stayed open.
- Switch to 0DTE to see what is driving today's moves; same-day options move the most with price.
- Volume / Ladder shows the raw call and put contracts if you want counts rather than exposure.
Call and put open interest at every strike, the put/call ratio near spot, max pain and the key levels.
Option contracts trading far more today than their open interest, by strike, so new positioning stands out from routine trading.
Cumulative call and put premium through the session, the net between them, and the underlying, so you can see which side is leaning.
